The Hoover family originally opened Hoovers Cafe and gas station in 1934. Hoovers Cafe has a longstanding
reputation of a well-prepared, home-style meals and large portions. You will never leave hungry! Over
the years, the family has handed down the controls to younger family members and they continued the
tradition and expanded the cafe to allow more seating for its guests.
Today the cafe, now known as Hoovers Grille and a part of Hoovers River Resort is owned and
operated by Chef/Owner Arlyn Eggen, his wife Ronni and their eight children. As the cafe has
developed into a full service restaurant, the one of the things that has not changed is the
quality and quantity of your meal. Every plate is overseen by Chef Arlyn and his crew, prepared
with care to make sure you will be more than satisfied with your selection. We use only the
finest quality seasonal produce, (from local farms when available), fresh fruits at the peak of
sweetness for our dessert specialties, fresh pork and poultry products from the best suppliers
and above all, we serve only Certified Angus Beef products in all of our beef entrees.
